You find Cairns is not that cheap as it’s a major tourist city. You should have a lot of choice – especially if you go in Winter, the weather is still ok and it’s not as humid and hot as the summer months.
YOu should be able to pick up a cheap hotel for around $100, maybe even a little less. If this is too high then there are some other options which may be more suitable. These include.
